Vehicle storage for too long

I just recently returned stateside from a year and a half stationed in Korea. My poor brand new rebuilt 350 with 18 miles on it was suffering neglect. I took it to the mechanic to install new radiator, swap all fluids, and check everything. She runs now, but the mechanic said there is sour fuel in the tank. Anyone know of any additives or anything I can dump in there? Can I just burn it all out? I really don't wanna drop the tank to dump it.

maybe heet(i think thats how you spell it) would work but i would get a hose that wont flex like something to pump kerosene with and siphon it out. it will take a bit to get it down there but it will work if its long enough, drain it then use a fuel stabilizer and put 5 gallons of new gas and then run that

I'd get one of those hand siphon pumps from harbor freight and just suck it all out... The other option is to put the car up on stands, pull the fuel line and let gravity do the draining, no need to drop the tank.

I don't know of any additives that make bad gas go good again, but it's easy enough to suck it all out of the tank and freshen it up... I'd run a bottle of Seafoam through on the first two or three tanks as well to clear out any gum in the lines.

Either drive it and burn the gas up or siphon.

It wont hurt to drive it like that. May stink some and feel like it could have a slight random miss at idle thats just the old gas.

I'd probably get rid of the old fuel... properly, of course then use something like Gumout, but there may be other products more effective for cleaning the complete system or for cases like yours.
