sprocket won't fit back on the crank

sprocket won't fit back on the crank

i'm replacing the timing chain on my 4 bolt main 350 uprading to the edelbrock performer with new sprockets so the edelbrock crank sprocket won't slide all the way on. the guide flares toward the engine and thats where it is getting stuck should i just file the sprocket or any other suggestions or am i just missing something
