Slow engine start and no AC
My 87 GTA has always started and cranked normal until the last few days when it's been 95-100 out. It has been cranking slow but so far will start. The car has a 180 degree thermostat that is new and runs about 190 but will go to 210-220 if I idle or sit still. The charging system is working properly with correct volts (I had the charging system checked as well as the battery cables). Could it be the starter going bad? Also the AC never worked when I bought this last January but it's all hooked up. I have the digital controls and digital dash. When I push the AC on I hear NO compressor click and the clutch does not engage. I'm thinking of replacing the AC relay first since its 12 bucks. I know it could be a clutch but anything else it could be on a digital controlled car? I need some suggestions and advise please.
