In a loud server farm atm so hard to hear vids.
Pulley - assume the problem is the wobble. Balancer looks ok so - pulley bolted on ok?
Starter - assume the prob is slow crank? Old batt, damaged cables, dirty or corroded connects or terminals.

Pretty generalized symptoms there - could be a bazillion things. This carb, crossfire, tbi, tpi, what?
Some general solutions - like Edwardgp said, tuneup stuff - plugs, wire, rotor, filters, fluids etc. Look for vac leaks. If carb - dismantle, soak and re-kit. Or fast-idle mechanism. If fi - hows the fuel pressure?

Re: 1984 trans am probs
well i went ahead a bought new spark plug wires and the cars idle is alot more stable and and sounds like its running better but the problem i'm still faced with is the violent shakings low idle (1000rpm), even when i rev the car higher it still shakes.
has this ever happened to anyone? any ideas?

Re: 1984 trans am probs
Outer lip of the pulley is slightly bent, not cause for too much concern, mine was too. Slow start could be a weak battery. Replace it.
For your idle issues, is this your first carburetted car? They act a little different and fast and slow idle depends on what you do to the gas pedal before starting it.
In short there is a specific procedure for setting the choke and fast idle. Once the car is warmed up, a slight kick on the gas will knock the fast idle cam off and the idle will drop down to 700 or so. In the mean time it's going to shake and run rough.
If you are unfamiliar to this, as I was, it can seem like the idle has a mind of its own.

Re: 1984 trans am probs
i helped him today with the car and the battery is weak i had my 200 amp max charger hooked up to it to start it since the alternator belt broke and it didn't have a problem cranking with it. it didn't get gas for a while until gas was poured directly into the carb then the rest of the time it didn't have a problem starting it kept idling when not in gear at 2200 rpm. then it finally went to idling at 1000 after a little adjustment it still is having problems though. it also looked like it had weak spark. the spark was yellow instead of the regular blue color
