1989 tpi 350 intake bolts, HELP ME!!!!
I have a 1989 l98 350 and the intake bolt torques have managed to strip the head of the bolts out, I need to remove them, anyone got a cheap easy method to get these stubborn sobs out? They are torqued down to probably the factory 35-45 foot pounds, please contact me directly by email with information/tips, I live out in benbrook texas incase someone lives nearby with a tool for it they would let me borrow.

Was tightening them after intake gasket replacement and the t45 bit I was using striped the center out, the bit itself then twisted and broke. (snapon) so I whipped out the 'trusty' impact set, which broke (again), after striping out some more centers, I'm guessing the 23 years weakened the bolts, or something... The threads aren't stripped just the tops so I can't budge the things to put in the shiny new sensible 14mm hex head bolts.

Happened to me too. Titanium tipped drill bit. The bolts are soft. So is the runner, so watch out. I used a bit the size of the bolt head. My thinking was get the head off, then screw extractor to get the rest of the bolt out.
In my case sadly I drilled not only through the bolt head but into the runner as well, ruining it (on the hard to see bolt driver side front).
So a dent free used new runner wasn't that expensive fortunately, and the rest of the bolt removed by hand so no screw extractor needed.
Hopefully someone has a more gracefull way to do it!
