chattering coming from rear off my formula.

so for months there has been this annoying chattering clanking noise coming from my rear wheels. It goes on and off as you drive. Some times you here it some times you don't. So last time I was poking around and found the problem. It turns out my rear disc brake outer brake pad has a lot of movment and play in it. I mean if I stick my fingers in the caliper I can move the pad up and down. So that is what the chatter noise is. I put some epoxy on the back and side of the pad to hold it to the back of the caliper and no noise. I'm thinking maybe the pads are wrong. I don't know. Anyone ever have this happen to them?

Sounds like you have a problem with your caliper, brake pad, or both. In any case gluing the pad to the caliper is a mistake.
