350 build up help
So I pick my 350 .30 over tomorrow from getting hot tanked and new cam bearings installed. I have a stock set of vortec heads I will be changing the the springs to except 530+ lift.the only thing I have is the block and heads crank and a 600 carb.I am aiming to make as close to 450hp as I can get.now I have 6 eagle rods 6.000 I can buy 2 more for 80 bucks or I can use my stock rods cause I have all 8 already but I need pistons and I was gonna go super cheap eBay cause I was in a rush to get it done but I'm just going to do it right.what I want to know is will it benefit me to use the 6 inch rods instead of the stock 5.700 and going off that I will decide what pistons to use.I have more questions but those will come as i go.

Re: 350 build up help
My bad. I just need to know should I use the 6 inch rods instead of the stock rods which will benefit me most? The pistons I found to work with 6 inch rods and a stock crank were a bit more expensive but if it's worth it I will spend the money but what is the point in using 6inch rods?
