vacuum hoses that are actually needed???
i have a 1983 camaro berlinetta with a 350 and i am getting ready to rebuild the engine, i am wondering what vacuum hoses i actually need for it to run properly.

I assume the engine is an implant since the 350 wasn't a factory option in 83. As far as what the factory system needs to operate, that depends alot on whether you plan to remain emissions compliant. If so, you need to keep pretty much every part of the emissions equipment intact.
If you aren't concerned with emissions compliance. You can remove everything but the vacuum advance and the EGR. I suggest keeping the EGR functional to prevent detonation due to lean fuel mixtures. If you want to be rid of all of the computer command control hardware, just swap in a non EST distributor and a Holley 4 barrel. Then you can remove all vacuum connections except the brake booster, vac advance, and vacuum accessories. You could also swap to a better manifold like the Edelbrock Performer or Performer RPM
