305 CA Smogable with smog system removed?
Someone down the line (poorly) removed the smog system (pump and all associated lines) from my '87 305 Camaro, as well as put in a 4bbl carb. Is it even possible to pass smog with this setup in California, or do I need to replace the smog pump? Thanks for any helpful responses,
Ben

Yes it will have to be there. All of it.
Hard to say about the carb thing; if it was carbed from the factory (VIN code H), and the right carb and all of the right stuff that goes with it is installed and operating, then it has a chance.

'87 LG4 had a unique, one-year-only aluminum Q-Jet intake manifold with EGR. What makes it unique is the angle of the center 4 bolt holes. If you don't have it, you'll probably have to buy an Edelbrock 3706.

Re: 305 CA Smogable with smog system removed?
Ok, can someone send me a picture of the stock accessory belt setup for this year/model? The current setup has the alternator located on the top left (when facing the engine with the hood open). There is a bracket for something (AC system is also removed) on the top right. Where is the stock location for the smog pump?
Thanks for the help so far!

The Edelbrock carb has to go, FOR SURE. No way that will make it.
You'll need to put the stock one back on.
Smog pump goes below the alternator.

Nope.
Instant fail.
Only one that will pass, is the stock one. Put it back.
