Not sure what the problem is...
I've got a '92 305 RS Camaro that I've had for years and I'm having an issue with it that I can't figure out.
I will be driving down the road and the acceleration will just stop. The engine will still be going, but I won't accelerate when I hit the gas. It won't accelerate till I'm barely tapping the pedal and then all of a sudden, it'll pick back up and I'll be going 60 again. It'll repeat this process a couple more times, then it will just fully cut off. If I try to crank it back up, it'll turn over a few times, rev like it's about to start, then sputter and die. After about 5-10 minutes, it'll crank back up and go fine like nothing was wrong, but then it will do it again later.
Today it did it on my way home from class. I go to school at a place 45 minutes away from my house and it got me there no problems and I drove around town fine with no problems, but about ten minutes from my house, it did it. I was able to crank it back up after a few minutes and get to the road my house was on and it cut off again, but this time it cranked back up after the second try, then when I turned down my driveway, it did it again and I couldn't crank it till 15 minutes later.
It's been doing it for a while and the first time we thought it was water in the gas tank, so I put in some additive and switched gas stations for a while and it seemed to be fine, then it started doing it again. Well this time we thought it might be the ignition module, so we changed it and it seemed to do fine, then it started doing again... needless to say, we're completely confused as to what the problem could be.
Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know what the problem is? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Do you mean won't crank, as opposed to crank but won't start? If you have sporadic no-crank which also kills the engine whilst driving, sounds like maybe an intermittent battery ground. Check terminals and connections for crud, corrosion, loosness etc.

Sorry, I meant to say that it will turnover, but not start. It's got a new battery in it. We thought that was the problem so we had it checked out and there was a bad cell in the battery, but even after the new one was put in it was still doing it.

Posting if the engine is either TBI, TPI or carb will help us to diagnose and
give you some hints to fix.......................
