no start

so the battle continues, have been havin g issues with my car starting, long crank times, finally got the timing set and the starting problem seemed to be resolved

I drove to work this am, went fine, tried to start once at work, now it wont crank, makes one click and thats it

question, if the connection on the starter came lose while driving to work, would it stay running? I know if its lose it wont start, but if it came lose while running would it stay running and then not start on next try

stuck at work, really need to get the car started

88 trans am GTA 305, 5 speed, TPI

once the motor is running it usually will contunue to. if it came lose it could still run fine but not be able to start the car check the batt connections first and then i would double check the starter

Re: no start

So the cap on the top of the starter was lose, one bolt lose, the other missing, gotta find a new bolt, then test and hopefully re-install and all good.....wonder how this happened
