Project Car

Hi all I am new to this forum so please bare with me. I plan on getting a project 1987 camaro (or something around that year) to work on as my first project car. I have a 2000 s10 but in my opinion it is not worth putting a lot of money into since it barely has a 100 hp. But any way I plan on getting a camaro with a 305 V8 with a manual transmission. I would like to drop a beefed up 350 in. I know doing this will make me get some extra support in the suspension and a better manual transmission. I was thinking of the T-56 tranny or a variant there of. I willing to spend about 15,000 dollars on this project maybe a little more. I was wanting to put a crate engine but I having issues finding a crate engine that is fuel injected that has a round air filter on top. (that is the look I am going for) I really do not want to mess with converting the engine from fuel injected to carburated. The only site I have really looked on is JEGS so I would like to know where you guys to and any advice you can give me would greatly be appreciated. I just want to know what I am getting myself into. Thanks in advance
