Need help with belt routing
I have a 84 Z28 Camaro that had the 305 HO in it. I am almost done swapping the engine for a built sbc but I realized that I didn't take a picture of the belt routing and where all the brackets and accessories go. Does anyone have any pictures of the whole front of the engine?
Thanks
Thanks

They're both correct. Just that Vetteoz's picture is for an 86-87 setup which uses a flat serpentine-style belt to the alternator instead of a v-belt. The routing is identical to your 84 with all v-belts, however.

Awesome! Thanks for all the help guys. With this info my car should be back together soon.

Hey, I should mention since you're starting from a "box of parts" that there is ONE LITTLE SPECIAL PART you need to get back in the right place or you'll be scratching your head forever.
There is a double-sided stud that attaches the top "leg" of the PS bracket to the driver's side cylinder head and also acts as a spacer between the head and that bracket. You GOTTA put that back in there. If you just bolt the PS bracket straight to the head that pulley will be all crooked and out of line with the rest. Only spaces it out about 1/4", but it's an important 1/4".
I mention it because I've seen so many botched accessory installs and that's one of the things that almost always gets missed. Nobody can remember where that double-sided stud goes so they ignore it or install it somewhere else. But it goes in one spot and one spot only.

Cool I'll keep that in mind. Anyone have any up close pictures of the brackets by the power steering pump? Or any of the other brackets?
