Not sure what type of head gasket I have. I ordered them for my son, but I'm not sure if I have a steel headgasket or what. How can I tell? If it helps any, I ordered them along with a rebuild kit, everything was ordered stock.

Brand & part #?

Steel ones look like a thin sheet of .... steel. Composition ones look like some other material, with metal "fire ring" reinforcements around the cylinders.

Not sure, I'll dig the box out tomorrow and let you know. The way you described it I think its composition. It feels metallic, but there are metal reinforcements around the piston holes.

It's a victore reinz head gasket set. There was on individual part number for the gaskets. I'm really not sure what type of gasket it is, I don't think its steel because its semi-flexible and doesn't feel like steel. What I really need to know, if whether or not I need to use sealant on it when I put the heads on.

ive never seen a headgasket that you use any sort of silicone or rtv on, if that's what you're asking.

You will however need to use thread sealant on the head bolts.
