Car wont start, but runs on starter fluid?
Car wont start, but runs on starter fluid?
I replaced My injectors, fuel pump, and fuel filter. I do not have the VATS system. I have a 2.8 intake on a 3.4 block. Seems to be getting fuel. Fuel pressure is good. Turn the key and it tries to start but never quite gets there. Spray carb cleaner in the intake and it will run till I stop spraying and backfire out the intake and stop. Any suggestions?

My two suggestions are ;
#1 , Those new injectors aren't any good ,
Or ,
#2 , You created a bad vacuum leak in one of the upper manifolds when ya put everything back after the injector change .
PS , With regards to the injectors , Brand new is NO #100 iron clad guarentee that they are working . Even new parts can be DOA on occasion (DOA = Dead On Arrival)

I tested the injectors with an ohm reader and they checked out, the car is doing the same thing it did before I changed the bad injectors. No vacuum leaks either, I replaced all hoses and gaskets.

Ok then , Your next step should be to get a Noid light on those injectors and see if the PCM is actually sending them signals to open .
The normal order of things on our cars is that the Positive 12 Volt side is always on when the key is on , and it's the negative side that gets switched onto and off of it's circuit to pulse the injector .
