92 firebird fuel pump wiring help needed!

92 firebird fuel pump wiring help needed!

i need to kick my fuel pump either via switch on the dash or by the key on position. but how can i accomplish that?

originally a TBI car.. where is the easiest place to provide power to the pump?

How about the wiring harness? Is it still there?

I started with a factory carb'd car with no in-tank pump, ran a wire to a relay that was connected to switched power. I have the PCM running mine, but all you would need to do is add switched power to one side of the relay coil circuit, and the other side to a switch going to ground. If you do it that way, the pump can't turn on unless the ignition is on.

Run a fuse, of course.
