Compression tester fitting access around headers?

Hi Gents,

As a IROC owner with the pitiable LO3, can I "axe" a NON 3rd gen question?

My back up car, an ancient '79 Vette with a mild 400sbc I swapped in 12 years ago has a recent rough idle caused by an apparently dead #8 cylinder.

The only cylinder that has no measurable RPM drop is the #8 plug when the wire is pulled from the distributor.

The plug is a light tan, the Taylor wire has 565 ohms of resistance and there is spark.

Both #8 intake exhaust rockers are at least moving when idling.

Basically steady 18" vac @ 1000 RPM, & 15" @ 600 RPM in gear.

Getting the my present 1 piece compression tester into the head is not possible due to clearances.

QUESTION... Does anyone know of a short fitting that will clear headers etc with a 90 degree, or a quick-connect that can be used? Hoping for just a burned valve.

Thanks very much guys.
