Vacuum tube for Distributor

Hi all.

As I now have my new dizzy and the previous one was a CC unit. What can I use for the vacuum tube? I also need to find a spot to connect it to (I might have the connection on the carby though).

Cheers.

Jonno.

Re: Vacuum tube for Distributor

If you have the connection on the carb, try it.

Also try hooking it up straight to manifold vacuum.

See which you like better and run with it.

Will do. What type of tubing is it though?
Is it just stuff similar to the washer nozzle stuff?

Yup, pretty much.

You can use that plastic stuff, or rubber hose, or even metal tube like they used to in the 60s; doesn't make the slightest difference.

Ask for vacuum hose at the parts store. If they give you a blank look, ask for windshield washer hose instead.

dj - Supercheap sells it by the metre or in 2M packs. Rubber hose, about 4mm would do iirc.
