TOO COLD? OR BAD BATTERY
SO IVE had this camaro 98 rs for a week now. started it up, runs pretty well, with the exception of the MAF sensor. this causes it not to idle correctly, but it works fine otherwise. a couple days ago we re wired a couple janky connections the previous owner made to have a push button start. it drove home fine that night, but the next day, nothing (prettysure i left the heater ona at night) so we charged the battery up and put it in this morning, and nothing. it wont fire. could it be too cold for it to start? the car was frosty a bit but i put a little fan heater with a themastat at 80 degrees under the hood for 15 minutes still
nothing
nothing

Re: TOO COLD? OR BAD BATTERY
So, I changed the fuel pump relay after realizing my radio makes the same noise turning on as the fuel pump. the connection was gross, all of the electrical teeth just covered with a black gunk. after cleaning vigorously each wires teeth and getting a new relay, nothing. will not start. im going to change the fuel pump next. from what I've read its accessable through the trunk if u cut it or on the bottom of the car. is this correct? anyone got pictures? my repair manual is contradiction what the internet says.

Assume you have an 88, not a 98. The nasty black gunk in the relay socket is factory, meant to keep moisture out. I think we all hate that crap
Before randomly changing parts, especially pita things like the fuel pump - get a voltmeter and the circuit diagram, and pinpoint what's wrong. Checked the basics? Got fuel pressure, spark, injectors firing etc? Be pretty silly to change the fp if you've just got a bad ground or something - at least measure the pressure before you do this.
