Quick question, in 1987, did the G92 option only available on a 305 motor instead of a 350?

 

G92 (performance axle ratio) available only on IROC-Z with 5.0 TPI (LB9). G92 was available on IROC-Z convertible in 1987.
All 1987 350 TPI (B2L) IROC-Z's came standard with the 3.27 BW rear end

There is also a 1LE option,which is similar to the G92. My brother had it on his 91' 305 formula. Bigger brakes, 3:42 gears, big rotors, radio delete, N10 option dual ypipe etc,etc.

 

thanks, I was just wondering. I have 87 5.7 L98 motor. I thought I had all the options available for that year on my car.
I was looking at the old Camaro Dealer order sheet and I thought there was a option that you can get the G92 package but its only available for a 305. That makes sense.

350 in '87 only had one axle ratio so G92 wasn't available
G92 isn't really a option as such , just a factory indicator that a optional " performance " axle has been installed
if one was available. The actual installed ratio has it's own RPO code,typically GXX
