hot wire fuel pump through ALDL terminal G

I have a bad OPSU in my 83 Camaro; the car looses fuel pressure and dies after the initial prime. My car is in storage and I will not be able to fix this problem until spring. HOWEVER, the car is started and run daily for a good amount of time at its current location. My question: Will there be any effects on my fuel pump if a 12V key on source of power is run to terminal g? I just don't feel like having to replace my new pump come spring as well. Thanks guys!

Power on terminal G l puts power when the is relay off through the pump relay , (the red wire in diagram below)
so no different for pump than when relay is powered up by the computer.
( except the pump will run full time even with Ign off )
If the pump relay is working properly you could wire 12V to terminal G through a push button switch so you can
run the pump to prime /start the car then let the ECM run the pump .
That way when you turn the engine off you don't have to remember to kill the pump
