head/valve seals on my 305 tpi
i want to get my car to stop smoking, it smoke on start up and when it get to 220 degrees.. should i put new vale seals in or replace the heads...? i don't want to run the risk of doing the seals and then have the car still smoke. And i was think of putting vortec heads on if i were to replace them. what should i do.. just want it to stop smoking so bad... gets kinda embarrassing when the car looks good but smokes like the Marlboro man.. lol at a loss

First you need to figure out why its smoking. What color is the smoke? If its blue its oil, if its white it is coolant. Is the smoke the same color at start up and at 220?
