Can i spray nitrous in my l98 motor
Hey so i was wondering if i bought a complete wet kit of like a 100-200 shot is there anything that needs to be upgraded to protect my motor from damage or can i just plug and play, also if a 150 ish shot is to much for a stock 350 motor then what could it take, thanx

A stock L98 can take a 150 shot till the cows come home if it's in sound mechanical condition and you do everything right.
For "upgrades",
1. run plugs at least one heat range colder than stock
2. 180 thermostat
3. 93 octane or better fuel
4. a stout fuel pump, something like a Walbro 255 lph unit, with upgraded wiring to supply full alternator voltage to it. (I have no experience with stock TPI pumps, so can't say that a new stock one would be ok).
5. Mallory 685 ignition box. It's the most economical one I know of that has what you need to keep it safe - spark retard, window switch, and soft rev limiter. For a 150 shot, set the window switch to come on at 3000 rpm and off 100 rpm before your shift points (assuming you have an auto trans?) to help the tranny live longer. Pull 4 degrees of timing per 100 shot, ie. 6 degrees for a 150 shot.
6. A WOT switch (a must!)
Additional insurance that some use are:
1. a fuel pressure safety switch (FPSS) that will cut the system if FP falls below a set value. The last thing you want when on the spray is to run short on fuel. Envision an oxy-acetelyne torch when you add oxygen without extra fuel

2. a remote bottle opener. Not only is it convenient, it could possibly save your motor if you can shut the bottle if the nitrous solenoid ever sticks open.
Never ever run the tank low on fuel where it could starve during a run.
Start with a 50 shot and work your way up, ideally watching fuel pressure during the run, monitoring the O2 sensors (if you see anything less than 850 mV on stock sensors, you're too lean), and reading several plugs after each increase in the shot size.

Of course you can spray an L98. In fact, given all the limitations of getting a TPI to breathe deep on its own, some "artificial respiration" is a great way to get some power out of it.

Ok I got the main ideal but i have a few questions still like whats the WOT (wide open throttle switch) used for, like do you hit the switch if ur spraying and have it WOT, and would you happen to know how much about a fuel pressure safety switch, and the mallory ignition box would cost me, thanx
