I have just replaced the knock sensor, and connector. How can I go about testing the loom for a bad connection ..

Feel stupid asking but can i really just run a jumper from the FUSE to the connector....

Car idles decent, has SLIGHT mis, hesitates SLIGHTLY, no. CEL on startup, drive for a few and it'll pop on, but shuts off within a minute after. Intermittent mis. Don't hear any pings or knock. Just looking for another direction to look or any advice. Previous owner replaced coil wires, distributor.
