I gt a 92 camaro 5.0 tbi 5 speed. Its running extremly rich extremly bad fuel mileage. First i notice lots of pressure in my tank whether its empty or full when i take the cap off. I thought maybe my purge valve may be bad or my evap sol. But i also noticed that theres little or no power getting to the sol o checked with a volt meter. When i disconected the purge valve i got my pressure in my tank but now my car is jus letting off lots of fumes because of it. My next step is figuring out why im getting no power there and where the wire ends diagrams show it goes to the ecm. Bad ecm???

 

Fuel tank, purge, etc. are all probably fine.

Run rich usually = coolant temp sensor.

 

I really appreciate the reply. Thats what i thought so i changed it already before but it hasnt fixed the issue. Ive also got a problem with the fuel tank pressure. When i remove the purge valve it doesnt recycle the fuel but it does relieve the pressure in my tank. Im thinking the purge valve may be good like you said but there no vacuum to the valve so it just stays closed and builds tank pressure. Im trynna trace it to the problem but cant find anything.
