Help on 350 LT1

I am currently working on a restoration project for a 1949 Chevy pickup. I put in a 1987 350 LT1 from a camaro. The engine is not cranking when I try to start, I have the old camaro harness currently installed. What should I look into to get the engine started. Also should I take the fuel injection out and put in a carburetor. Would I need a circuit board for the transmission if I decide to do this?

Re: Help on 350 LT1

Battery dead, starter wires corroded positive wires or grounding wires corroded. Check your fuses, ignition switch if you have one, dizzy cap, or bad ecu or maf.

Re: Help on 350 LT1

just to get the engine to crank over you need a wire going from the ignition switch to the starter s solenoid power from the positive cable from the battery to the starter and the engine block grounded from the battery negative cable.
