Questions about buying an IROC

Hey y'all,

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm new here. I'm going to look at a 1987 IROC-Z tomorrow and wanted to know of anything I should look for on the car, you know common problems or something that should steer me away. It has 106,000 miles and has spotless leather interior from the pics. It has the 350 TPI and is bone stock besides a flowmaster muffler. I have owned a 4th gen but never a 3rd gen. Needless to say I'm kind of a newb when it comes to these cars. I have a picture of the vin and codes and the car appears to have just about every option available for 87. Thanks in advance for any responses!!

Re: Questions about buying an IROC

thats low mileage for that year. odomoter goes up to 99999 then starts at 0 so it should show 6,000. u probably knew that already. just check the things you would usually check. oil trans fluid, suspension. t-tops??? this body style is known to twist because of torque. sub frame connectors help. transmission mounts are known to break. easy fix though.. just replaced the one in my 87 iroc today. took bout 25 mins. i cant think of anything else...
