Random Roaring

Ok I got a strange one, I've been poking around the forums and searching around but can't seem to find anyone with this exact issue.

I have a 1986 Z28 and it had previous mods done, when making a turn I get a roar that comes out of the rear left side of the car, the best way I can describe it is WOOOB....WOOOB...WOOB and it goes faster or slower depending on speed. If your breaking while turning the sound goes away, it only happens around turns with no breaks applied....

Anyone have any ideas of what it could be? I'm at a loss at the moment.

Re: Random Roaring

I'd take the rear brakes apart & take alook. Is it drum or disc brakes?

Disc brakes, you think the sound would go away if it was a brake problem?

Re: Random Roaring

Well, brakeing affects the noise, so thats where I'd start.

I agree, I just thought that if it were the brakes it would cause it to get worse not clear up but I guess anything is possible here. Brakes are due to be replaced just about so hopefully it's something like a warped rotor.
