EGR Valve

I would like to stop my egr valve from working on my 87 z28 camaro, i heard its not so good for your engine and it improves gas milage. i can find any info on google, and would like an experienced person's help. thank you.

i did some research, and is it even worth it? i want it to increase gas milage, but if it doesnt do that or it causes more problems im saying screw it.

Removing it will not increase you gas mileage.
