liquid teflon, rtv? Just wanna do it right. They are aftermarket pre-made hoses. refering to sealing threaded connections. Being an EFI fuel line and connecting billet fuel filter and adjustable pressure regulator. I want no leaks.

Re: what sealant to use for fuel lines?

Do not use any type of sealant on the threads of the fuel lines on the car! The fittings on the end of the lines are a compression style fitting using an O ring to seal the line.

Fuel Injected engines require fuel pressure above 40 or so PSI on inlet side depending on application. You cannot or should I say should not use rubber hose s with hose clamps in place of the proper high pressure lines. If someone made you special hoses then please let us know exactly what type of fittings were put on the ends of the lines.

no they are jegs pre assembled fuel hose lines with -6an fittings. Mabye they have an O-ring inside them. Haven't even opened them yet.

Re: what sealant to use for fuel lines?

If it's a real -AN (37 deg) fitting or tapered pipe fitting you don't need anything. If you're worried about corrosion or seizing, you can use something like this:

Don't try to use sealant to fix a leaking connection, since there's likely a problem with the fittings at that point.

Re: what sealant to use for fuel lines?

my fuel pump, fuel hoses, fuel filter and one way flow valve are all -6 AN. I ordered them all that way to make the fit easier. Just thought there should be some sealant. Guess not thanks.
