I would suggest http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-174001, the seals go right on, no machine work. I just put these in my motor this last weekend it was a piece of cake (first time doin springs) and work great with my .480 lift cam. Your local orileys should have a valve spring compressor you can rent. They have some .5?0 lift springs on the cheap as well. They require your valve guide to be cut. Which is not expensive either. Whats the purpose of the car? Are the heads stock? What pistons? My coworker bought a Blazer with these heads in it and the cam was .514 in spots and 5.02 in others, 4 lobes were near round.

Stock valve springs are good for scrap metal and paper weights. Dont do it, it will end in heartache, or at least wallet ache.

The Lunati 60103 or Comp xe274 are FAR better cams than that old school piece of crap. Much better street manners and way more power at the same time. The cam is the LAST PLACE you want to cheap out.
