O2 Sensor Question
Just wondering if you unplug an O2 sensor on '89 TPI if a SES light should come on? I tried this and I did not get a light.

Re: O2 Sensor Question
Yes and no. See the SES is tripped when the ECM detects something that doesn't make sense. In this case, for the ECM to determine the o2 sensor is bad (disconnected) it would have to read less than .2V for no less than 50 seconds AND the car must be in closed loop operation. If you say unplugged the o2 sensor and then started the car the o2 sensor would not immediately throw a code. A code would not be set until the car was in closed loop operation and 50 second duration had passed.

Re: O2 Sensor Question
I did not meet the criteria you described when I checked the SES, but I did do the propane test in the above video. Thanks for info.
