1986 IROC 305 TPI - Starts & idles fine, but bogs down under acceleration
Hi guys,
Can someone please help...I've bought myself a new toy and I haven't been able to play with it yet and I'm getting frustrated.
I'm new to all this and have no mechanical knowledge so will have to relay any suggestions to a mechanic.
I've read loads of threads on here and am none the wiser.
My issue is this....the car starts fine and it idles fine. However, as soon as I put any rev's on it, it misses massively and bogs down all the way through the range.
I've always wanted an IROC and now that I have one...I have no idea what it can do / how it should drive like.
So far...I've had the plugs replaced, new dizzy cap, new rotor arm and replaced the fuel filter.
Please help...summer is on the way and I want to enjoy driving it.
Cheers

1st off, buy a factory service manual from Helm and learn to use it. (its a pain)
If the car has K&N air filters clean the MAF wire with the proper spray cleaner and don't touch the wire!
Look at plug wires for arcing, cuts, burns and ohm them.
Ohm injs
test fuel psi
test coil
test pickup coil
unplug MAF and see if it runs fine
