4.3L 90 degree V6 build

I'm rebuilding my first 4.3L V6. I've done tons of 5.7L V8s. This one came out of a 1996 GMC jimmy SFI vortec. I've noticed the parts are a lot more expensive for this engine and like everyone I'm trying to save money. I'd like to know if there are any interchangeable parts between the two. If the rings and bearings are the same I'll just get a 5.7L kit and have some leftover parts. Thanks

A long but good read overview of the 4.3's.

Re: 4.3L 90 degree V6 build

Thanks for the link. I just finished reading it. It's interesting how different the 4.3L actually is from the 5.7L. Also interesting how some parts within the 4.3L family wont interchange just because the were built in two different assembly plants.
