Drain anti-freeze, bleed fuel pressure, remove induction sys, unhook exhaust manifolds/headers, unhook fuel sys, remove distributor, remove manifold, remove valve covers, remove head bolts, lift off heads, there's a few other things but they should be obvious, its an easy job, but not one someone mechanically disinclined should untake alone, since you have to ask you should probably find someone to help, also figure on it taking a full day to possibly a weekend since you've not done it before. Regardless, buy a manual, there's more torque specs and small steps than anyone will want to share when it goes back together, and you'll be able to handle most things on your own with the knowledge it provides.
