Cam question for 350 TPI

When I bought my car, I was told by the former owner that it had the largest cam that could go into a TPI 350. My motor came out of a 91 Corvette. It was balanced and blue printed for 1.6 rockers which are going in this week.

my question is, what would be the specs for the "largest" cam you could put in a TPI? Its a Crane cam and doesn't lope real hard but you can tell it has an after market cam

Thanks in advance

Re: Cam question for 350 TPI

I ran a .214/ .224 duration @ .050, with headers and a hypertec [yuk] memcal, but that was in a 406 -- got 23 mpg on the highway and ran 12.20's through the muffler with street tires.... oh yeah, it was an '87 with MAF

Just trying to give some reference for ya, sorry, next time, you can just figure it out by calling a cam company or something... I imagine they would know best, they have all the R&D money...

No Gregg, I appreciate it. The different size motor, lead me to think your answer might be wrong.
