oil leak

Well, just done a load of work on the 89 z28 305ci, new paint, new drive gear for speedometer, and other stuff. car repays me by getting an oil leak out of the rear crank seal! the car is stock and has its factory motor, my quetion is, in 89 is the 305 fitted with a two piece crank seal or one piece?

Stock89 engine should have 1 piece rear main. If it is the rear main, you'll have to pull both the oil pan & tranny.

Hi, you sound like you know what youre talking about. I have an issue where i revved very high at park, and oil began leaking from somewwhere behin the intake manifold. i had just redone the gaskets as well as the rtv on the both ends yesterday so i figured they had time to cure. wondering if you can point me in some direction. p.s. the oil looked milky brown. thanks.

There's an oil pressure sending unit back there, get a flash light & look closely.
