My 91 camaro died while i was driving it today. I pulled over and could not get it to start. I have spark, but I believe that there is a problem with fuel delivery. I can hear the pump prime half the time and it sometimes starts but soon dies. It doesnt have enough gas being pumped. is it a bad fuel pump or relay? Or something else? Should I bypass the relay to see if it will work?

 

Does it try to start but not turn over? Had similar issue, thought it was fuel pump, ended up being the coil. Best wishes.

 

i shot starter fluid in it and it fired up no problem, i hear the pump prime half the time

 

I should clarify that it was running fine earlier then just got weird and shutdown. now it acts like it doesnt have enough fuel and dies
