S.E.S Blinks repeatedly Need help
S.E.S Blinks repeatedly Need help
1990 IROC 5.7 tpi
chasing down a code 32 I found that I had a bad egr solenoid so after researching that replaced it with a new one for a caddy, first time I crank the engine ses immediately starts flashing quickly and does not stop
What could I have done to cause this? Worked like it was supposed to before I changed the solenoid.

Done the swap according to post found at nythirdgen by jekellandhyde (sp?). With oem part discontinued this was the only one found to be compatible.
The ses light doesn't even start with the normal 1-2 or code 12, as soon as the engine fires the light just starts flashing repeatedly.

A rapidly flashing SES is a bad EPROM. Should also do it at key-on, engine-off. Note that having the MEMCAL come loose in the socket will do this, as well as a bad ECM.
