Changed the smog pump today, finally got tired of all that racket it was making not to mention it made my car sound like a p.o.s. It had gotten louder over the last few days and I was afraid it might seize and fry the new belt.

I've read other posts that say after they change their pump the new one makes the same sound.

Just FYI, the one I bought is A1 Cardone part # 32-431 $79.99. There wasn't an option on brands, it was the only one O'reilly had. Anyway, she purrs like a kitten now. All I hear is engine and exhaust! WooHoo! Music to my ears!
