I recently purchased a 92 Camaro RS 305 TBI as a project car that currently doesnt run.
You can pour gas in the TBI system and crank it and it will run till fuel is out.
I can hear the relay click and fuel pump kick on. Supposedly a new pump by the previous owner. I can also hear the fuel pump for a second or two after cranking engine.
There is no fuel pressure at the fuel filter (I replaced it last night)...hooked up the pressure gauge.
There is some fuel getting into the lines..via when I disconnected the pressure gauge.
The dash fuel gauge says it is past full and stays there.

I noticed this in the engine bay...

A wire disconnected from somewhere on passenger back side top of engine...



And I found a port...looks closed off...under tbi in manifold



My thoughts were to go to a carb set up with a fuel pressure regulator if TBI system has serious issues, however I can't even do that till I have fuel pressure of some kind.

I am thinking possible ground issue since the dash gauge is not working?

Not sure where to go from here.

Other notable things...starter doesn't always engage first try. May have to flick key back and forth till it catches.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have basic mechanical abilities, but zero experience with
TBI systems.
