Intake Manifold adapters

I went online today and saw a set of intake manifold adapter bushings. I am not sure if these are to be used with specific intake manifolds or if they sell a set of universal ones. The issue is I am considering building a carbed set up for my camaro but the intake I have is for 86 and older heads and I have the 87 and later style.

Re: Intake Manifold adapters

are you talking about the 4 center bolts being on a different angle? if so, i usually just take a drill bit and wallow them out on the intake. ive cut my own "bushings" or spacers out of pipe or tubing. just put the appropriate angle on one end, and use washers. might 4 longer bolts if you make the spacers too long.

Just like the aftermarket were one intake fits both style heads.
All I have ever used is a thick washer to spread the load

Re: Intake Manifold adapters

Hey thanks for all the advice guys...I am in the process of disassembling my engine, this motor was originally a 305 TPI. Would you guys happen to know the sizes of the fittings coming from the fuel lines off the drivers side engine compartment. I am looking to route those lines into a FPR

The feed line is 3/8" and the return is 5/16".

Thanks watajob, now all I need to figure out is how to get the 5/16 fitting to go into the 3/8 NPT regulator.
