86 Firebird - Canister Purge Valve - where does it mount?

Good evening everyone!

Doing some under-hood cleanup and tune-up of my new (to me) 1986 Firebird.

I've been cleaning up various vacuum hoses, and I noticed that the canister purge valve (I think that's what it's called) Is just loose and hanging in the engine compartment.

Now the hoses look to be original, but I doubt GM would have just left that valve hanging.

Is there supposed to be a bracket or anything that mounts to? Any pictures appreciated.

Thanks!

That's the way it's designed. It just lays there.
