serpentine conversion

91 305 tpi and 86 donor tpi engine
im converting my belt drive from serpentine to v belt. I don't have smog or a/c and want to clean up the front of the engine. I have an alternator, power steering unit, clockwise water pump, and the brackets and pulleys from a donor engine. i have a few questions:

has anyone done this and can you post some pics?

can I use my existing power steering pump with the v belt pulley?

how do I rewire the alternator? can I use the connector from the donor and splice onto the harness?

Why go to V-belt?

Can you do what the Vette L98 guys do ;
make a adjuster for the Alt and use that as the belt tensioner , like on old skool SBC along with a shorter belt

Re: serpentine conversion

interesting idea. I see that it would eliminate the pass side bracket all together. which is a start. how is the driver side bracket modified?

It's not
All you need is to make or buy an adjustable brace for the Alt so you can tension the belt .
Can be mounted to the head , water pump or front of intake if you have vacant hole there.

Budget scrap metal brace shown at top.
Double rod end shop version below
