Ok 1991 Caprice 305 TBI system. My brother picked it up for 400 bucks a great deal it needed an ignition switch, a good buffing and turned out super nice for the price. Well after a few days it just up and developed a situation where it would bog down or I guess seem like it was choking out past 1/4 throttle. Well a bud of his said to jump the coolant temp sensor which he put a paper clip from wire to wire at the one on the intake manifold. The car immeadiately stall and now will only run with the pedal to the floor. Also showed him he had on under manifold and explained jumping meant grounding it.....
Question is what damage was done? What possible solutions to his first issue? ? HE changed fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, timing is set right.

Ok all wanted to report back it was the converter clogged. Opened her up and she is great now! Also had to adjust his detent cable, and the jumped sensor issue was fixed by unhooking the battery to reset the ECM.
