like i said in the title i have power to my distributor but no spark. Everything is new, so this really is frustrating. I replaced the control module first because that was the only thing in my distributor that hasn't been replaced in the last year. put everything back on and nothing.

took everything back a part and found that my new coil had shorted out (wires where burnt). thinking that was my problem i got a new one and still i have no spark. the cap is new, the coil is new, and now the control module is new.

where should i go from here? just try a new distributor all together?

 

You've got a hei type dist. on there? Remove the coil cover & test for full 12v at the red (+ side) with the key on & flashing power on the other wire (-) while cranking the engine.
