350ci 1 piece RMS crank bobweight

Scat lists the chevy 9-10526 1 pc rms crank balanced as "max bobweight as listed by manufactuer".

The TPI had heavier rods than the LT4/Vortec PM rods. I found that the vortec is listed as 1916 grams, but nothing for the TPI engine. Anyway know the TPI bobweight?

I did find this saying that GM justed weighed parts and matched to assemble engines, but would there have to be some sort of target bobweight +/- tolerance?

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tech...n-weights.html

Scat says the 1 pc RMS is balanced for the "heavier" assembly (TPI engine). What is the heavier bobweight in grams?

I see where you're going but you need to stop going that way. Just take everything you are ACTUALLY going to use in the engine to the balance shop and have them figure it out.

Or just bolt it together and hope for the best. Most of the time, they are close enough you won't feel any noticable vibrations. Stock GM 5.7 con-rods have weighed in at similar weights for decades.

Thanks. How much does a TPI / TBI connecting rod weigh on average?
