Fuel pump suggestions?
So im pretty sure my fuel pump has burnt out. It doesnt prime, cant hotwire the relay and get anything from it, nothing. The only way to get the car to run is by putting a little fuel in the tbi directly, then the little injectors keep spraying fuel like normal. Odd. Relays are good, fuses are good, could i be missing anything? Also, if it is burnt out, i might as well get a high flow pump. Any recomendations or things i should know? Thanks.

Re: Fuel pump suggestions?
Pouring fuel down the TBI unit will not flow that fuel into the injectors.
You are simply pouring fuel down the intake manifold. strange you would see the injectors firing if you primed the engine directly with fuel and not fuel line..
If you see the injectors firing I would suspect the pump wiring is at fault
what I want to know is how you hot wired the fuel pump without dropping the fuel tank?
Assuming the relay is good.. did you test the continuity of the fuel pump wiring? You could have a short the fuel pump wiring goes from the fuse block under the drive side sill plate.. from there it goes to bulkhead above the rear of the driveshaft and then to the top of the fuel tank.
Did you check the fuel pump wiring at the ECM for a short? (this is what primes the pump)
