ok so got everything apart and ready for the new ignition switch to go into place.

but i cant get the old park/lock cable to come out.

do i really need this attactched? can i just skip it ?

if not. then why wont this thing come out.. i slide screw driver into back till i hit that lil latch etc.. then i try i guess decompress it? by pressing on the other end that can be moved inward?
then it just slides out?

bahhh this aint a working correctly

as one i push screwdriver into slot.. to unlock it. then push other side in it just pushed my screwdriver out and the cable wont slide out or budge...

this was almost a easy switch out till now..

i have no clue how to decompress it unless u mean push the side in that can be pushed inward.. and i see the latch to hit with screw driver by looking at the new switch.. just aint working or im not decompressing this cable however you doo that??

please help.
