Converting serpentine to V-belt

I am converting my street/strip 89 Iroc from serpentine to v-belt.

My reasoning is that after swapping to an S10 manual gearbox, I will only need the water pump and the alternator, and the stock serpentine setup at that point will be overkill.

What do I need to swap to perform this conversion? I am assuming I need a new water pump since the stock water pump is reverse rotation? Do I need a different alternator?

Thanks in advance!

How so ?
Make / buy a brace for the Alt and use a shorter serp belt The brace serves as belt tensioner like on old skool SBC .
Works without PS pump as well
